Called H Promise, Hyundai’s approved scheme covers the entire range; there were nearly 5,000 cars on offer when we visited the website, including six ultra-rare Genesis luxury saloons. The cheapest model was a 2008 i10 for £2,950, and the one with the highest mileage was a 101,000-mile i30. There were also dozens of cars with only delivery mileage, with some useful savings to be made on list prices.
Because Hyundais come with a five-year warranty when new, H Promise buyers get the balance of this. If the guarantee has less than a year to run, Hyundai automatically tops it up to 12 months. Also included is breakdown cover for a year, which features home start, recovery, replacement car hire and overnight accommodation if necessary. Should anything go wrong soon after you’ve bought your car, Hyundai operates a 30-day/1,000-mile exchange scheme.
