Newly-formed Brabham Automotive has revealed its first new model will be called 'BT62', and is set to be revealed in May. The mystery vehicle is teased in a new video (above), previewing its throaty exhaust soundtrack.
Little is known about the new car, and we're yet to see any sort of indication as to whether this is a road or racing model. The exhaust note in the video sounds much like an idling V8 with very little in the way of silencing, suggesting that the BT62 will be of the hardcore, track-focused variety.

Brabham is a name that's synonymous with Formula 1 after British racer Sir Jack Brabham secured three championship titles between 1959 and 1966. The brand co-founded by him went on to make over 700 racing cars for numerous championships around the world.
The use of the 'BT' name ties the new car into that long line of racing models, although rumours suggest it could instead be a road-legal car.
Brabham Automotive was launched just under four years after Sir Brabham passed away, under the leadership of his Le Mans-winning son, David. The BT62 will be the first Brabham-built car in 26 years, and is said to be launched following a "rigorous and extensive engineering programme". We'll learn more about the project in May.
