The trim levels for the Mercedes Vito van have been revised for 2019. There’s now three to choose from: Pure, Progressive and Premium.
As standard, the Pure features a leather steering wheel, eight-way adjustable driver’s seat, automatic lights, parking sensors, heated door mirrors, and Active Park Assist: a system which can steer itself into a parallel or bay parking space. Finally, the Pure’s infotainment system offers Bluetooth, USB, AUX and SD card connectivity.

Take a step up to the Progressive, and the uprated infotainment setup gains a colour screen. Other added features include wheel trims, metallic paint, colour coded bumpers, front fog lights, cruise control and lumbar support for the driver’s seat.
The top spec Premium gets 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, a reversing camera, velour floor mats and pre-installation for satellite navigation.
The Vito is can be matched to one of two engines with a total of five different power outputs to choose from. Pure models come with a 1.6-litre unit which, depending on output, is known as 109 CDI (87bhp) and 111 CDI (112bhp). These two engines are also offered in Progressive trim alongside two versions of a larger 2.1-litre unit - the 114 and 116 CDI produce 134bhp and 163bhp respectively. The Premium is available with all three versions of the 2.1, topped off by the 187bhp 119 CDI.
The 1.6-litre variants send drive to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox, while the 2.1 is rear-wheel drive and available with a choice of manual and seven-speed automatics depending on model.
As before, the Vito is available in three lengths. However, the Compact, Long and Extra Long nomenclature has been replaced with L1, L2 and L3
The revised Vito range is available to order now. The 114 CDI L2 is priced at £23,900 (excluding VAT) in Pure trim, £25,570 for the Progressive and £27,580 for the Premium.
