A special edition Nissan X-Trail Platinum Edition SV (Special Version) has been revealed. Based on the high-spec N-Connecta model, the new SUV will be available to order in UK dealerships from 1 March.
The X-Trail Platinum Edition adds specific side and rear styling plates, as well as chrome detailing to the mirror caps and bumpers. All cars get 18-inch black alloy wheels, while inside you’ll find sports pedals and extra USB ports in the rear.
Based on the X-Trail N-Connecta model, all versions also boast Nissan’s seven-inch touchscreen navigation system, Intelligent Around View Monitor and a 360-degree parking camera. Keyless entry and dual-zone climate control also feature, while the panoramic sunroof, auto lights, auto wipers and rear privacy glass are all carried over from the cheaper Acenta trim, too.
Costing £1,999 more than the N-Connecta, the added kit on Platinum SV cars is said to offer buyers a cash saving of £828. An additional £750 deposit contribution makes the deal worth almost £1,600.
No finance figures have been revealed, but the X-Trail is currently available with zero per cent APR, as well as two years’ free servicing and three years’ European roadside assistance. Like all Nissan models, the X-Trail Platinum SV comes with a three-year warranty.
The engine line-up mirrors the main model range as well, with Nissan offering a choice of 1.6 or 2.0-litre diesels, or a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Manual and automatic gearboxes are available, as well the option of front or four-wheel drive.
