Skoda has lightly altered the Superb range for 2018, with a new spec Superb SportLine and the addition of a new SportLine Plus model at the very top end of its flagship saloon line-up.
Changes to the regular SportLine are very minor, but actually focus on bringing the price of the SportLine down. As such, the 9.2-inch Columbus infotainment and navigation unit is out, replaced by the smaller, older eight-inch Amundsen system. It means that the price of the Superb SportLine has been reduced by £470, ranging across both hatchback and estate bodied variants, and regardless of gearbox, engine or drivetrain.

The fresh addition – the SportLine Plus – muscles in with more equipment. The 9.2-inch Columbus system is standard kit here, while it also gains heated front seats, blind spot detectors, and an electronic tailgate. Prices start at £29,330 for the hatch version and £30,645 for the estate, representing a £1,500 premium over the regular, and now cheaper, SportLine car.
While updates at the sportier end of the range are the big story, the entire Superb line-up with the exception of the entry level S car has been updated in some way, but with no changes to list price. SE and SportLine models gain front and rear parking sensors, as do SE L Executive cars, which build on this with blind spot detection, keyless entry and a colour trip computer. Plus L&K cars now feature a heated steering wheel, ventilated seats, and a reversing camera as standard too.
The updated Superb line-up is available in the UK now, with Sportline Plus cars arriving in June.
