Renault has confirmed that it will reveal a new car at the 2018 Moscow Motor Show in August, which is described as a fresh C-segment crossover and a new ‘global model’ for the French firm.
Teased in a single shadowy image weeks ahead of its full reveal it’ll likely be a coupe inspired derivative of the Captur, though it’s unlikely to make it to Britain, Auto Express understands.

The new, still unnamed crossover will be built at Renault’s Moscow plant and launched first on the Russian market, with other markets such as China to follow.
It’s likely to be based on Russia’s bespoke version of the Captur, named Kaptur. Compared to the car we get it Britain it sits on a slightly longer wheelbase, boasts a taller ride height, and is available with selectable all-wheel-drive.
Described as a ‘show car’, the vehicle that will be revealed at the Moscow show won’t be the finished production model, though it will be an extremely close preview.
The teaser image released by Renault confirms that it won’t simply rehash the Captur/Kaptur design language into a coupe-SUV format. Instead, the grille and daytime running light arrangement hinted at in the teaser image is far more reminiscent of the latest Megane.
