Chinese manufacturer Chery has confirmed a Frankfurt Motor Show debut for an all-new crossover that will see the state owned carmaker enter the European market with a range of cars on an all-new platform.
The first of which - this SUV - will be revealed in pre-production form at the show, though the firm has released a handful of teasers to whet the appetite before we get to see it in the metal.

At the front we see a short, wide grille linking LED headlights with a singular LED lighting strip spanning the front end of the car. Another shot serves up a glimpse at the car’s dashboard and infotainment, while the third teaser reveals the SUV’s side profile.
Backing up Chery’s push into Europe will be a new European R&D and design facility. The firm hopes to be selling cars here within “a few years”, according to Chery CEO Dr. Anning Chen.
Chen has also revealed that the firm is plotting to sell a range of conventional and plug-in hybrid vehicles, while wholly electric vehicles are also planned.
The firm has four manufacturing sites in its homeland, which it says are collectively capable of producing over 1 million cars at full capacity. Last year, the firm produced 700,000 vehicles with 100,000 of them exported, representing 30 per cent of all Chinese vehicle exports.
