Infiniti has teased a new concept car that will make its debut in the metal at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which takes place next month in Monterey.
Infiniti as a brand has only existed since 1989, but the firm promises it’ll be a “heritage inspired prototype vehicle”, and a nod to the kind of cars competing on the early motorsport scene. It will, however, also blend in elements of the brand’s contemporary design language.

Despite looking to the past for design inspiration, the technology under the skin will look firmly to the future – Infiniti promises that it’ll make use of “advanced EV technology”.
A solitary teaser image has been revealed, hinting at some of the retro-futuristic styling Infiniti has penned for the as yet unnamed concept vehicle. It confirms that the car will be a single seater, while the overall shape appears to hark back to the Formula One cars of the 1950s. To date, Infiniti’s involvement in the sport consists of being the title sponsor of Red Bull Racing from 2013 to 2015.
It’ll line up alongside a clutch of other concept cars breaking cover at Pebble Beach. Mercedes has teased a new ‘Vision’ concept, which is tipped to appear at the show, while BMW will uncloak a concept version of the upcoming next-generation Z4.
