Mercedes tuning specialists Brabus has launched a pair of extreme variants of the S-Class limousine - based on the facelifted S63 AMG and the Mercedes-Maybach S650 - with 691bhp and 888bhp on tap respectively.

The Brabus 700 is the tuning company’s take on the facelifted S63 AMG. The standard 604bhp 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 has been modified to produce 691bhp and 950Nm of torque, up from the standard S63 AMG’s 900Nm.

If that wasn’t extreme enough, Brabus made even more bonkers arrangements in the Mercedes-Maybach S650. Called the Brabus 900, the tuning company increased the displacement of the standard limousine’s 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 to 6.3-litres. Power has been upped to an eye-spinning 888bhp and 1,500Nm of torque.

Despite the Brabus 900 weighing over 2,800kg, 0-62mph is achieved in 3.7 seconds and top speed is 217mph. It comes with an option of 21 or 22-inch forged wheels. With the extreme grunt, the 22-inch tyres will more than likely be the most popular choice for potential customers.

Brabus maintains that the luxurious driving experience of the standard S650 Merc-Maybach and S63 AMG remains, in spite of the monstrous performance. Both the 700 and 900 come with a choice of quilted leather or Alcantara interior with wood inlays as an option alongside carbon inlays. A custom centre console has been designed, bespoke for both modified S-Class'.

In the back, two Microsoft Surface 4 Pro tablets have been fitted, together with a small table to rest a wireless keyboard and mouse on. A 4G router has been fitted on-board to provide high-speed internet access on the move.

Both the Brabus 700 and 900 models are available as a factory standard car, but customers can also order their fast limos to individual spec.
