Morrisons is offering motorists 10p off every litre of fuel as part of its Black Friday week of offers.
You’ll need to spend £50 or more in a Morrisons supermarket in order to qualify for the discount, whereupon you’ll be given a voucher to redeem at one of the company’s petrol stations.
A cut of 10p per litre should translate into a saving of £5 for drivers filling their tanks, and Morrisons’ offer applies both to petrol and diesel bought at one of the company’s forecourts.
The discount – which is running now and expires on Sunday 26 November as part of Morrisons’ ‘Black Five Days’ campaign – comes as petrol prices reach a three-year high, with the average price for a litre of unleaded being 120.19p and a litre of diesel coming in at 122.59p.
Furthermore, rumours are circulating the Autumn Budget will bring with it an increase in fuel duty for diesel as the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond, is said to be considering ushering buyers away from diesel cars by increasing fuel duty for diesel by 1p per litre.
Morrisons’ fuel discount is active now, expires on 26 November, and coupons must be redeemed by Sunday 3 December.
