Mazda will debut an updated version of the Mazda 6 saloon at the LA Motor Show next month, with an official teaser previewing the re-engineered and redesigned model.
The revised Mazda 6 will be introduced to the North American market initially, but Auto Express understands that the facelifted model will come to the UK in the second half of 2018.

From the outside, the Mazda 6 doesn’t look much different from the existing model. The standard front grille has been updated with a new mesh design. The headlamps have also been spruced up with chrome detailing.
Inside, the new Mazda 6 has been updated with a new infotainment screen. Buttons on the centre console have been simplified and downsized, as have the air vents above.
Mazda confirmed the updated 6 will be powered by a 2.5-litre direct injection four-cylinder that features cylinder deactivation to help improve fuel efficiency. The 2.5-litre turbocharged variant used on the CX-9 crossover will also be part of the revised Mazda 6 line-up, but for North America only.
Mazda has also fitted a wider range of its i-ACTIVSENSE safety technology to the new 6, including radar guided cruise control as well as a new 360-degree monitor.
More details and images of the new Mazda 6 will be announced on 29 November at the LA Motor Show. The show opens to the public from 1-10 December.
