The recently facelifted Jeep Cherokee – revealed at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this month – will be joined by another updated Jeep this year in the form of a refreshed Renegade, and our spy photographers have caught it on camera.
Based on the same platform as the Fiat 500X, the Renegade has been the smallest offering in Jeep’s line-up since 2014. Almost four years on, it’s time for a facelift, with tweaked styling and updated interior tech.
The spy shots suggest that Jeep doesn’t have enormous changes in mind in regards to the way the Renegade looks. The panels at the front of the car remain the same shape, despite wearing a zebra print disguise wrap. As such, the front fascia of the car looks set to be altered, possibly with a new grille, new headlights and a new front bumper. It’s the same story around the back end of the car.
Our spy snappers managed to get a glimpse in the car’s cabin. The dashboard is largely covered, though it’s possible to spot a new, larger infotainment screen placed in the centre, with no buttons beneath it as is the case on the current car.
With the Renegade’s facelift looking like a light update, no changes under the bonnet are anticipated. It should break cover later in 2018, and arrive in UK showrooms this autumn.
Now find out what we think of the Jeep Renegade by reading our in-depth review.
