Renault has announced a special edition trim level for the Clio hatchback called Urban Nav, which is priced from £16,225.
The new Urban Nav trim level is based on the existing Clio Dynamique Nav. It adds rear-parking sensors, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and a new shade of body colour called ‘Urban Grey’. Inside it’s equipped with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, satellite navigation and air conditioning along with keyless entry.
Despite having £1,265 worth of equipment thrown in as standard, the Urban Nav asks a £575 premium over the Dynamique Nav it’s based on.
Buyers who opt for new Urban Nav models have a choice of two engines: a 0.9-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel powertrain, both of which produce 89bhp. The diesel produces more torque than the petrol powertrain (220Nm vs 135Nm), but it’s £1,450 more expensive at £17,675.
Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, although a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission can be specified for the diesel model for an additional £1,320.
PCP and Hire Purchase contracts are also available on the Clio Urban Nav, with one year’s free insurance being offered on a 37-month, 6,000-mile per year contract, whch costs £149 per month. A £5,030 customer deposit is required.
